Pop Search and Select - Moving from 6.1 version to 6.5 version
OVERVIEW:
The 'Pop Search and Select' activity allows you to show the results grid in a custom popup inside Oracle Service Cloud and perform search & select operations. In the PopFlow Studio, you can configure the 'Pop Search and Select' activity.
After opening 'Pop Search and select' activity, you will get the below configuration panel.
Default Configuration Parameters:
Title: The title to be shown in the popup window.
Allow Multi Selection: Select multiple rows in the popup window./ User Double Click on Grid: Select the single data and closes the popup.
Data Source: The data to be displayed in the popup search results grid.
Save Results In: Selected row will be stored in this.
Add Button allows you to add buttons to the popup. When the button is clicked, the activities defined in the button definition will be executed.
Add Searches allows you to add searches to the popup. When the search type is selected, and the search button is clicked the activities defined in the search selection definition will be executed.
To configure the activity please check the Pop Search and Select activity document.
In this document, we are going to check what has changed in 6.5 Pop Search and Select Grid(Pop-up).
Grid
Version 6.1
The above image is Pop Search and Select grid which is opened is 6.1 version.
All the options are on the left side.
Version 6.5
The above image is Pop Search and Select grid which is opened is 6.5 version.
All the options are moved to the top of Grid.
Initially, the first search is always selected for the selected Data Source.
Data Source: Used to show multiple results in Pop Search and Select Grid.
Version 6.1
The marked section in the above image is the “Data Source” option in the Pop Search and Select Grid for the 6.1 version.
Version 6.5
The marked section in the above image is the “Data Source” option in the Pop Search and Select Grid for the 6.5 version.
Now we are showing the “Data Sources” in the dropdown. We can select any “Data Source” option from the dropdown list to see the result of the Data Source.
Searches: Used to filter the Data Source result in Pop Search and Select Grid.
Version 6.1

Version 6.5
The marked section in the above image is the “Searches” option of selected “Data Source“ in the Pop Search and Select Grid for the 6.5 version.
Now we are showing the “Searches” option in the dropdown. We can select any “Search” option from the dropdown list to filter the result of “Data Source”.

In the 6.5 version of Pop Search and Select Grid, we have an additional option “CLEAR SEARCH RESULTS“ for the searches.

If we click on the “CLEAR SEARCH RESULTS“ button then it will clear the search results and shows us the original “Data Source” results.
Sort Columns: Used to rearrange the Data Source results in Ascending and Descending order in Pop Search and Select Grid.
Version 6.1

Version 6.5

Buttons: Used to run different activity on button click and also used to close the open Pop Search and Select Grid.
Version 6.1

Version 6.2
The marked section in the above image is the “Button” in the Pop Search and Select activity for the 6.5 version.
Rearrange Columns: Used to rearrange the column in Pop Search and Select Grid.
Version 6.1
In 6.1 we do not have a feature to re-arrange the column in Pop Search and Select Grid.
Version 6.5
In the above image, you can see the user is dragging the username column to rearrange the position of the column. Drag and Drop the column where you want to put the column.
